First full scale release for this majestic soundtrack by two of the film world's greatest contemporary composers. Director Christopher Nolan's re-invention of the Batman franchise was a worldwide cinema and DVD success grossing close to $500m in total. The collaboration of Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard brings together an intriguing blend of electronic and orchestral music. Tracks from the score (all named after species of bat) have featured in a succession of trailers for other films.
