Description

The film Stephen Hawking's Universe is the story of the relationship between the famous physicist Stephen Hawking and his wife. In 1963, at the most ordinary student party, a meeting took place between two young people who immediately liked each other. This ordinary event that happened to Stephen and Jane, students at Cambridge University, would hardly have attracted the attention of outsiders and certainly would not have become the plot of a feature-length film if it had not been followed by an unusual story of love and cooperation between unusual people. Stephen Hawking, the future outstanding physicist and world-famous scientist, and Jane Wilde, who specialized in Romance languages, felt mutual attraction and continued their acquaintance, but very soon their relationship was overshadowed by one important circumstance. Even while studying at the university, when Stephen Hawking was just choosing his area of interest and subject for scientific work, he noticed that simple physical activity was becoming more and more difficult for him - his muscles began to gradually fail him. Despite the terrible diagnosis - amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, which causes paralysis and, as the doctors initially decided, would greatly shorten Stephen's life, the physicist continued to work, and Jane supported him and did not leave him in difficult times.
