Description

Bryansk, 1937. Thousands of letters from prisoners, victims of false accusations, are burned in the prison. One letter escapes the flames and lands in the hands of Alexander Kornev, the recently appointed local prosecutor. Kornev tries to understand the situation, but he encounters obstacles and bureaucracy.
