Lee Isaac Chung, the Oscar-nominated screenwriter of Minari, stars in Twisters alongside Golden Globe nominee Daisy Edgar-Jones as Kate Cooper, a former storm chaser haunted by a devastating encounter with a tornado during her college years and now studying images of storms on screen from the safety of New York City. She’s lured back to the open plains by her friend Javi (Golden Globe nominee Anthony Ramos, In the Heights) to test out a revolutionary new tracking system. There, she crosses paths with Tyler Owens (Glen Powell), a charming and reckless social media superstar who eagerly posts his storm-chasing adventures with his rowdy crew. As storm season begins, unprecedented horrors unfold, and Kate, Tyler and their crews find themselves in the path of multiple storm systems converging over central Oklahoma in a fight for their lives.
