Description

73-year-old Alvin Straight, who has health problems, lives with his daughter Rose in the quiet provincial town of Lawrence, Iowa. One day he learns that his brother Lyle, who lives in Wisconsin and with whom he has not spoken for 10 years after an argument, has had a heart attack. Alvin decides to visit his brother, but since he does not have a driver's license and the stubborn old man does not want to go by bus, he buys a used lawn mower and sets off on a journey of almost 500 kilometers.
