Description

The film follows the legendary concierge of a popular European hotel and follows his life between the two world wars, as well as his friendship with a young employee who becomes his protégé. The plot involves the theft of a priceless Renaissance painting, the struggle for a huge inheritance, and the turmoil that befell Europe during the first half of the 20th century.
