Description

World War II is drawing to a close. A young Canadian nurse cares for her "English patient," who suffered horrific burns in a plane crash in the Sahara Desert, at an abandoned villa. As he slowly fades away, he recalls his passionate affair with a married woman, swept away by the hurricane of war and mundane prejudices, which ultimately led to a tragic end.
