Description

In the midst of World War I, a choir in a small English town lost most of its men to the army. The choir's leadership is determined to continue its work by attracting new members. They hire a determined new choirmaster, Dr. Henry Guthrie, recently returned from Germany, where he had been working. When conscription notices begin to arrive, the townspeople realize that the best response to the war is to make music together.
