The village of Karatas has long been under the rule of the crime boss Poshayev. He provides shelter and work for the locals, but mercilessly executes those who go against him. This happens to the wife of the poor man Arzu, who tragically dies, and Arzu himself ends up under Poshayev's guardianship. The head of security is ordered to keep an eye on Arzu, but he seems too grief-stricken to think about revenge.
