Description
Old and New
The horseless peasant woman Marfa Lapkina, no longer willing to put up with poverty, together with the local agronomist and the poor, organizes a dairy artel in the village. Worker-chefs help the artel get the first tractor. At the end of the film, dozens of tractors are plowing the farm land. One of them is driven by Marfa Lapkina.
