The artist chose a young model for his portrait of Mary Magdalene. After the sessions began, she began to have strange mystical dreams, opening a window into the other world, full of evil and vice. In them, the artist turns into a spider and tries to possess her. Unconscious sexual desires cause a feeling of fear and helplessness. Darkness absorbs and sucks in. Only the light of true love dispels the ghosts, freeing her from the nets of the mystical web.
