The deserted wasteland along the border between Mexico and the United States is a territory without rules, a battlefield between Mexican drug cartels and American intelligence agencies. FBI agent Kate Macer, who works in the border areas, tries to adhere to her own ideals, although she begins to feel that the outcome of the war on drug trafficking is not in favor of the servants of the law. One day she is given the chance to take part in the work of an elite anti-drug unit led by agent Matt Graver. The most mysterious member of the team is a local consultant, a man with no name, habits, and, it seems, no past. His true face will only be revealed during a risky operation, during which Kate will be forced to sacrifice her own principles in order to stay alive.
