It's Thanksgiving Day, and retired intelligence colonel Frank Slade decides to celebrate the holiday by treating himself to a trip to New York. Frank wants to furnish his latest “crown outing” at the highest level: an elegant hotel, a luxurious limousine, expensive drinks and stunningly beautiful women. There are only two problems. First: Frank is blind in both eyes. And second: the colonel’s worried relatives decide to hire a guide for a small sum in the person of a needy student at a prestigious college named Charlie Simms. The last thing Colonel Slade needed on his trip was the “green” youth Charlie. But it so happened that the journey of these two stunningly different people changed their lives forever.
