Airplane Dusty, now an air racing legend, soon learns that his engine is badly damaged and he can never compete in high-speed air races again. Dusty is looking for a new occupation and meets a courageous fire and rescue team, led by a veteran aviation helicopter named Ranger. Having learned how difficult and dangerous the work of firefighting aircraft is, Dusty will understand what real heroism and dedication are and he himself will want to become a rescuer.
