A young but already successful writer is experiencing creative and mental torment: a new novel is not coming out, there is still no muse, and in general he somehow doesn’t get along with girls. And so, calling on the remnants of his imagination to help, Calvin comes up with a girl named Ruby Sparks - smart, beautiful, athlete, in short, an ideal, and a week later... he discovers this ideal of flesh and blood on his own sofa.
