Dr. Harry Wenderspiegle is a hermit living in a small town in Colorado. He's also an alien who actually fell to Earth and inhabited the body of a doctor. When the doctor is killed, the alien is forced to postpone his mission to return home and take his place. Living in his new body, he gradually begins to question whether humans are worth saving.
