River of No Return
Matt Calder, returning from prison, where he served time for the murder of one scoundrel, finds his six-year-old son Mark in the camp of American settlers of the “wild west”, where he was sheltered by the local cabaret singer Kay. Matt takes his son to his new home near a bend in a mountain river, and decides to start a new life among the vast expanses of North America. At this time, Harry, Kay’s dishonest friend, wins a gold-bearing plot in Conseil City at cards and invites the girl to drop everything and rush off with him on a raft along the river in order to stake out a gold mine that he obtained by deception as quickly as possible. The turbulent waters of a mountain river force the couple to make a stop near the hut of Matt and his son. Harry, having learned from the farmer that the river is unsafe with its rapids and waterfalls, decides to steal Matt's horse and gun. Kay decides to stay with the farmer and wait for Harry to return. Not even a day has passed when a tribe of Indians attacks those remaining in the house by the river and burns their house. Matt, his son and Kay manage to swim away from the angry Apaches on a raft. They face a difficult journey down the river, through rapids and impenetrable forests teeming with wild animals, and bloodthirsty Indians are already on their trail...
