Description

Germany after World War II. The country is in chaos, devastation, hunger. The main character is British military man Lewis Morgan, who is appointed temporary mayor of Hamburg. He will have to rebuild the city almost from scratch. Together with his wife, Lewis moves into a luxurious mansion where a German architect lives with his emotionally unstable daughter. Will former enemies be able to get along under one roof or will the desire for revenge be stronger?
