Pillow Talk

Designer Jan Morrow and composer Brad Allen, who share a party line, have never met but can't stand each other. Brad is constantly hogging the line, playing the same tune to his many female fans, while Jan, forced to listen to it all, can't make or receive calls, gets indignant, and complains to the telephone company. Millionaire Jonathan Forbes, who happens to be Brad's friend and sponsor, unsuccessfully courts Jan. One day, he tells Brad about his beloved and the crazy guy she has to share a phone number with, and the womanizing composer realizes he's talking about him. The description of the unfriendly lady's appearance on the other end of the line intrigues him, and when he accidentally meets Jan in a restaurant, recognizing her voice, he decides to pursue her, pretending to be someone else.
