Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief This film is an adaptation of the first novel in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians book series by writer Ricky Riordan. A young man named Percy Jackson, an American teenager, learns that he is a demigod, the son of the ancient Greek god Poseidon. He sets out on a journey across the modern-day United States of America to save his mother, recover Zeus' stolen lightning bolts, and prevent a war between the gods. But the main adventures begin later, when he and Grover get to Camp Half-Blood. He has a girlfriend, Annabeth, daughter of Pallas Athena, and a friend, Luke, who, in the end, turns out to be not a friend at all, but an enemy. During their journey, Percy, Grover and Annabeth meet various mythological monsters: Medusa the Gorgon, Ares and other mythical creatures. Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters Percy goes in search of his friend, the satyr Grover, who has fallen into the trap of the Cyclops Polyphemus. Not only the satyr is at stake, but the entire “Camp Half-Blood”: someone has poisoned Thalia’s sacred tree, which means that the camp’s defenses are about to fall and nothing can stop the monsters from invading. Only the mythical Golden Fleece, hidden on the island of Polyphemus, can heal the tree - and to get to it, you need to swim across the Sea of Monsters and fight its inhabitants - Scylla and Charybdis, the sweet-voiced sirens and the insidious sorceress Circe.
