Description

China, early 20th century. In these turbulent times, established customs are reluctant to change with the arrival of foreigners. The story revolves around three young women: a charming thief, the daughter of the governor of Beijing, playing a complex game against her own father, and a girl from a Chinese opera theater whose father objects to her performing on stage. All three become embroiled in a conspiracy to obtain secret documents of extraordinary value to the country.
