Dashing Belle Williams is the fastest taxi driver in New York. But Belle didn’t turn her cab into a rocket so she could carry clients around for the rest of her life. She dreams of winning real racing competitions. And she is close to realizing her dream until police officer Andy Washburn, a talented detective and a completely mediocre driver, stands in her way. Washburn, out of favor with his superiors for his complete fiasco behind the wheel, pursues a gang of bank robbers led by Vanessa, a cold, calculating beauty. Washburn does not have a driver's license, and he hopes to keep up with Vanessa and her assistants with the help of Belle. Belle gets carte blanche to drive at any speed and without rules. So the most unusual couple in the history of New York, a couple of policemen without a car, and a taxi driver obsessed with speed, begin a game of cat and mouse with cunning robbers. And they can count on victory, unless they kill each other before neutralizing the criminals.
