The Major

On the day of his wife’s long-awaited birth, police major Sergei Sobolev rushes to the maternity hospital, beside himself with happiness. On a slippery winter road, he kills a seven-year-old boy in front of his unhappy mother. Speeding, carelessness and jaywalking - the evidence is obvious, as is the young father's reluctance to go to jail. The major uses his official position to justify himself... Unwittingly, he starts a whole series of deaths, which he decides to stop too late.
