Description

Corky Withers is a ventriloquist. His performances with a dummy named Fats are a great success with the public. But Corky leaves the stage and returns to his hometown, where he meets his childhood friend Peggy. Corky seduces her with magic spells. He begins to lead a measured life and, he believes, has found peace of mind, but a theatrical agent relentlessly pursues him and demands he return to the stage.
