Compton, 1988 The father of five daughters, Richard Williams, has long drawn up a detailed plan for the future of his girls and stubbornly follows it, and he intends to make tennis stars out of eight-year-old Venus and seven-year-old Serena. Although Richard and his wife Brandi know little about training professional tennis players, they themselves trained their daughters and taught them the technique as best they could. World famous trainer Paul Cohen, who works with Pete Sampras and John McEnroe, agrees to free lessons, but only for Venus. Then Richard records the classes on camera, and Brandi begins to train Serena based on them.
