Description

The young gunsmith Belian is forced to flee his homeland. He joins the crusaders led by his father. But, in one of the battles, the father receives a serious wound and before his death he assigns his son the rank of knight, and he swears allegiance to the king of Jerusalem. Belian soon became famous as a brave and experienced warrior. A handsome and honest young man attracts the attention of the king's sister, Sibila, but thereby gains a mortal enemy - Guy de Lusignan, Sibila's husband and leader of the Templar Order. Blinded by envy, together with his merciless knights, Guy attacks the Muslim caravan, which the brave Belian is assigned to guard, and thus provokes a war with the huge army of the great Sultan Saladin. The dying king, together with the devoted Belian, leads the regiments into battle. This is a battle they cannot win, but this is just the beginning. Many battles, adventures and trials still await the hero, until the news of the great Belian of Ibelin, the legendary defender of Jerusalem, who liberated the Holy City from tyranny, spreads from the fortresses blown by the winds of the desert to the palaces of the rulers of France.
