Description

Years of World War II. Groups of Polish refugees meet on a bridge over the Western Bug. Some are fleeing the German army, while others are escaping the Red Army invasion. Anna is one of them, and now she is trying to find out what happened to her husband, an officer in the Polish army. Among the refugees, she finds acquaintances and wives of other officers.
