Jour de fête / Les vacances de Monsieur Hulot / Mon oncle / Playtime / Trafic / Parade

In 6 feature films and 7 short films, Tati has established his originality as both an actor and director, embodying François the postman and Monsieur Hulot, two comical figures who are on a par with characters created by Buster Keaton, Laurel and Hardy and Charlie Chaplin. Tati was a formidable inventor of new styles and a master in the art of observing the everyday and the modern, with a critical but humorous approach.
