Description

The French Connection (1971)
The film's plot revolves around New York City police officers attempting to catch a gang of criminals involved in transporting drugs from France. Detective Popeye—nicknamed after the famous cartoon character—confidently tracks the gangsters, delving into the heart of the bustling city.

French Connection II (1975)
American detective Jimmy "Popeye" Doyle arrives in Marseille to find the major drug dealer Charnier, whom he let slip away in New York. However, the local police are not particularly happy with the visit of their Western colleague, who has his own methods of fighting crime.
