Real estate agent Renfield comes to Transylvania to sign a contract with Count Dracula for his purchase of the old Carfax Abbey in London. Local residents warn Renfield that Dracula's castle is a den of evil spirits, but he ignores the warnings and goes to the castle. At the Borgo Pass he is picked up by a carriage with a silent coachman. Looking out of the carriage along the road, Renfield sees that the coachman has disappeared, and a bat is flapping its wings above the team...
