Leaving Afghanistan

1988, the eve of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan. The command of the 108th Motorized Rifle Division is planning a retreat through the Salang Pass, controlled by the Mujahideen group Engineer Hoshem. Intelligence is trying to negotiate a truce with the dushmans, but matters are complicated by the fact that a Soviet military pilot is captured by Hoshem. A complex game begins in which the opposing interests of many different people are intertwined: staff officers, Islamists, special forces, intelligence, officials from the Afghan government, employees of the Soviet special services, Tajiks and Pashtuns. And in the very center of this whirlpool are the soldiers of the reconnaissance company, for whom the rule remains more important than any political considerations - do not abandon your own.
