Blue Moon

March 31, 1943, New York City. Renowned 47-year-old songwriter and author of numerous hits, Lorenz Hart, is sitting at the bar of Sardi's restaurant one evening after the successful premiere of the musical "Oklahoma!", written by his former partner, composer Richard Rodgers. Lorenz's life and career had declined due to his alcohol abuse, and this musical was the first one Richard wrote in a duet with another poet. However, Hart hadn't stopped by just to complain about his life to his bartender, Eddie. A party to celebrate the premiere was about to begin, and Lorenz was expecting a date with Elizabeth, a 20-year-old Yale student with whom he had fallen in love.
