Description

A story about the adventures of a small, unusually smart Yorkshire pig. All the animals on the Hoggett farm have distinct personalities and communicate with each other in human language. People, of course, are completely unaware of the matter. When the owner begins to suspect something, he himself gets involved in this game, hoping to use the suddenly manifested intelligence of the animals on the farm. The four-legged baby, the same piglet raised by the shepherd Fly, is trying to prove that a pig is suitable not only for decorating the Christmas table (which is exactly what this was all about), but is capable of doing work that requires intelligence and ingenuity - herding sheep. You can imagine how the sheep themselves feel about this idea! Not to mention shepherds - what kind of professional pride can withstand this?
