The Man Who Knew Too Much (1934)
Bob and Jill Lawrence are vacationing in the Swiss Alps with their daughter, Betty. Before the couple's eyes, their new acquaintance, Frenchman Louis Bernard, dies. Before he dies, he manages to whisper a few words to Bob about an impending espionage plot. To keep Bob quiet, the perpetrators kidnap his daughter and hold her hostage. The couple must save their child and fulfill their civic duty by preventing the assassination attempt on the prominent diplomat.
The Lady Vanishes (1938)
The film takes place on the eve of World War II. On a train traveling from Tyrol to London, an elderly lady mysteriously disappears. Her traveling companion begins investigating the incident with a young man. Gradually, they, along with the other passengers, become embroiled in a spy plot.
