The plot is not exactly Balzacian in its complexity: we watch the Mariachi kill a large number of unshaven men and go to bed with a smooth-skinned beauty as he moves toward an ultimate and rather tedious act of vengeance. What fun there is derives from the smart editing (Rodriguez did his own cutting, and he's quicker on the draw than most of the pistol-packers) and from Antonio Banderas, who, stepping neatly into the Mariachi's boots, lends irony and calm, and even a trace of sweetness, to a nothing role. Without him the picture would remain a hollow, high-speed exercise in style.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Arrow Video","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":50777545572638,"sku":"BRD15390","price":2199.0,"currency_code":"UAH","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0778\/8747\/1902\/files\/otchayannyy-1995-angl-yazyk-4k-uhd-blu-ray-special-edition-998491.jpg?v=1775918499","url":"https:\/\/bluraymania.com\/en\/products\/desperado-1995-4k-uhd-blu-ray-special-edition","provider":"Bluraymania","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
